ACBRIDE Bek and Lloyd

When Rebekah, our very own online stylist announced she was engaged, the entire Anna Campbell family was thrilled to create this beautiful soul’s dream dress. Today we are just as excited to be sharing Bek and Lloyd’s incredible wedding with you.

Marrying at the incredible Mont Du Soleil in the Dandenongs of Victoria, Bek and Lloyds botanic inspired celebration was rich with joy and laughter. Bek had always known she would be an Anna Campbell bride, first discovering our dresses while studying fashion at RMIT.

Working closely with Anna and the talented team in our Brunswick studio, the name sake ‘Rebekah’ dress was designed. She is the equal parts elegant and understated and truely champions the minimalistic aesthetic.

Meet our beautiful Bek… I’ve been at AC for close to 5 years now, and have been obsessed with our beautiful dresses, brides and real weddings for the whole time. Getting to wear my very own AC dress was a dream come true! I personally love all things weddings, flowers and floristry, gardening, and weekend outdoor adventures.

And her lovely beau Lloyd… Lloyd is one of those people that oozes energy and motivation – he keeps me on my toes in the best way possible! being both a qualified Electrician and Builder, he has such a love of amazing architecture and sustainable buildings, the outdoors including wake-boarding and surfing, and has an unquenchable travel bug!

The engagement… It was very romantic, but also very simple and personal which was perfect. It was a beautiful Sunny day in October, and we were both out gardening and pottering around our property. Lloyd disappeared for a little while, and not thinking much of it I kept working away. He soon came back and asked me to stand still with my eyes closed. Again, thinking nothing of it I did as he said, and upon opening my eyes saw he had gone and picked the most beautiful bunch of flowers from the garden, with a hand-written note asking me to marry him. I wasn’t at all expecting a proposal so soon, which made it even better!

When I knew I’d found ‘the one’… I knew I wanted an AC dress from the start, I just wasn’t sure which one! It wasn’t until I saw Anna working on the neckline of a brand new design, that I said literally out loud without thinking “that’s my dress!” from there we worked on creating my dream dress, which soon became known as the “Rebekah” dress – it was perfect in every possible way!

How I felt wearing my dress… Like the best possible version of myself! It was so important to wear a dress that felt like me and wasn’t so far from anything I would wear normally. I wanted to look and feel effortless, elegant, and of course comfortable! I could move freely, breath, sit and eat without any difficulties. I couldn’t imagine being restricted by my dress on the most important day of my life so far!

I adored the neckline, as it was the perfect amount of detail on a dress that was relatively simple in many other ways. The low back complimented this perfectly, and the fluted silk crepe de chine skirt and train were so dreamy!

To our future Anna Campbell brides… Choose a dress that makes you feel like a goddess! You should feel like the ultimate version of yourself, whilst being comfortable, and able to eat and dance all night long!
I would also make sure that after all the stress and hype in the lead up to the big day, you make time to stop and cherish the moment with your partner. Your wedding day is something you plan over many months (sometimes years) and it is all over and done with in one day. Give yourself a moment to breath, and take in all the magic of the day with the love of your life.
