The Anna Campbell brand was born from an innate desire to create quality garments with a conscience. With an affinity for luxurious silks, and custom hand beading, we have a distinctly unique aesthetic drawing brides from across the globe. Evolving into an internationally acclaimed brand whilst maintaining our core values of ethical production and authenticity is something which comes with great pride to the Anna Campbell team.

It is no surprise however that with great success, comes even greater feats and given recent copy right events we wanted to take the opportunity to bring you behind the scenes to the making of the Amelie dress. Our Amelie is the product of hundreds of hours of design development and dedication to authentic design and we are incredibly humbled by the world wide love she has received.

While it is said that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, we are nothing but saddened to see counterfeit websites using our campaign imagery to promote an inauthentic product. When purchasing directly from a designer or a reputable stockist, you are supporting and protecting the designers intellectual property and their team who’s jobs are to create these dresses by hand. Some online stores are selling counterfeit Amelie Dresses for less than it costs for us to have just one meter of the lace created. Amelie alone has approximately ten meters of lace, ten meters of lining, a silk dupion waist band and hand sewn silk buttons, creating Anna Campbell quality garments at that price point is entirely infeasible.

AUTHENTIC AMELIE

Our main intention is to inform our brides, some of whom are confused as to whether the dresses are genuine or not. Unfortunately some brides are being unfairly lured into purchasing and receiving a far from desirable product, before becoming aware of their mistake. If Amelie is listed on a website other than ours or one of our reputable stockists listed below, the product is most likely a counterfeit product. AMELIE TIMELINE

In 2017 the design and production behind the dress now known as Amelie commenced, from an initial sketch to the development of a custom Amelie Lace, which required thousands of hours worth of hand beading and embroidered floral detailing. The custom made lace was then analysed to ensure the best possible placement for the body, trialling multiple patterns, skirt silhouettes, lining fabrics and finishes.

The development process requires hundreds of hours worth of trials and fittings to ensure we are producing a product that we can guarantee is authentic and the best quality garment for our bride. The Amelie is tweaked to perfection and fitted to the model to ensure our campaign accurately represents the fit of the dress and it is captured in a manner that allows our bride to imagine her wedding day wearing such a special piece.
