Meet Emily and Robbie | I’m a primary school teacher and Rob is a business coach, we live in Torquay, Victoria with our dog Obie. We went to the same primary school – although didn’t get together until my best friend set us up later on… I was living in Sydney at the time and on one of the weekends I came home to Melbourne, we got together and never looked back.

The Love Story | We were down at the family beach house in Aireys Inlet and we got up early one morning to take our dog for a walk at Sandy Gully Beach, as we normally do, and Robbie asked me to marry him before 7am! I was definitely not expecting it!

Finding ‘The One’ | I saw the Amelie dress when it first came out and fell in love – I knew I had to try it on. Anna Campbell was the first place I tried on a wedding dress and the very first dress I tried was the Amelie…it was meant to be. As soon as I put it on I knew it was the one! I tried on a couple of different veils but when I put on the Windsor veil I knew that was it.

My experience at the Armadale flagship boutique | The whole experience was pretty magical, I loved the change rooms and loved that there was enough space for my mother in law, sister in law and best friend to sit and watch me try on dresses.

How I felt wearing my Amelie Dress | It was the most perfect dress! So comfortable and perfect for dancing later in the night. I LOVE the embroidered tulle and the way the glass beading and sequins shimmered in the sunlight. I also loved the back of the dress.

Words of Wisdom | Don’t be shy – try on everything that catches your eye, try on all of the dresses, try all of the veils, even if you think they won’t go together, they most likely will! I adored the Windsor veil however didn’t try it on the first time I went to AC because I didn’t think it would suit. I tried it on when I went in to purchase the dress the second time, and I am so glad I did as it was one of my most favourite things about my outfit.
