We are so excited to share the intimate elopement of Louise and Andrew. The gorgeous bride wore our Jamie Trumpet in Sand purchased from our lovely Adelaide Stockist, The Bride Lab.

The Love Story… We are best friends with a truly special connection… we both love adventures, the outdoors, traveling, hiking, caravanning, gardens, eating amazing food and spending time with each other and those special to us. Through working together we became best friends On a normal week we are very busy… Andrew a school teacher in leadership and Louise always traveling interstate for education in dementia care, with a background of nursing! We know what is important in life and make moments matter – we have so much fun together with whatever we are doing in life even with life challenges we have only become stronger.

The Elopement … We eloped just the two of us with a celebrant and two photographers who were also our witnesses. We were after something very personal and intimate. One Tree Hill is a beautiful spot on sunset. One Tree Hill is a privately owned paddock were you can pay $50 that goes towards the local community to hire this picturesque location. Many couples chose to have some of their photographs there but we decided to actually get married at this iconic spot! We chose to elope in Sunshine Coast Hinterland as we had never visited before and we enjoy walking, exploring and eating amazing food. So along with eloping we had our honeymoon at the retreat!

Memorable Moments… Eloping means you don’t necessarily ‘walk down the aisle’ and see each other for the first time. So we did a ‘first look’ at the retreat – Andrew stood behind a tree and I came around the corner behind him and when he turned he saw me for the first time in my dress – it was such an emotionally charged moment!

Why we eloped… We wanted to keep our marriage private and meaningful for the both of us. So we decided to keep it very simple with an amazing dress, photographs & amazing location. Our inspiration was to keep it about us and our love. We stripped it back to the true meaning of marriage. We wanted our moment to be authentic, meaningful and special for us as a couple to celebrate our love. We are having an ‘elopement celebration’ with close family & friends in May (8 weeks after we eloped). This was so we can celebrate and I get to wear my amazing Anna Campbell gown again!!

Finding ‘The One’… I wore an Anna Campbell formal type dress for my 21st and have always loved the elegant and detailed style. I have followed the bridal collections for some time and always knew I would get married in one! I loved my dress as it had the low back, detailed lace and a beautiful sand colour underneath really showcasing the beautiful lace.
