SARAH AND MARC

In the heart of Richmond, Melbourne, amidst the stunning glass walls of Brucke Glasshaus, a wedding unfolded that was nothing short of magical. The day was filled with love, laughter, and style, and included an unforgettable dazzling transformation by our gorgeous Bride Sarah. This was a wedding where elegance and personality met, creating an event that felt as radiant as the couple themselves. Sarah shared with us some details of her special day, her Anna Campbell experience, and planning a wedding interstate!

What was your favourite moment from the wedding?

“Can I say it all? From the first look which was just a moment for Marc and I to see each other for the first time to spraying champagne in an alley in Richmond, the whole day was a blast, I got to marry my best friend”

How did you know when you had found ‘The Dress’ ?

I had look online and fell in love with the shape of this dress, the high neckline, backless, tight silhouette from the waist to create shape; shape I needed as I'm quite petit. I added a few dresses I was curious to try on knowing that this shape was what I wanted. All the dresses I tried on were just beautiful on. It wasn't until Frankie said she had requested permission to bring in a new season dress in the shape I loved. The moment I tried it on I was speechless, I loved the embellished top, it created a bit of fun and texture to the dress, that was it, instantly knew this was the dress I wanted to get married in. There really is this moment when you just know. The second dress, 'the party dress' I was already buying before I had tried it on, the was the only certainty for the day and when I tried the topper and beaded skirt on I did not want to stop shimmying and certainly didn't want to take it off. I cannot wait to wear those pieces again, the weight of the beads and movement in skirt scream fun and the top, which is backless with a beaded fringe, screams ready to party. It was my first dance outfit and wont be the last dance for this ensemble!

How was your experience with the Anna Campbell team?

Where to start?! I live in Sydney so the first meeting was done via zoom with my Mum and Frankie the Boutique and Online Manager. I wasn't sure what to expect but Frankie made me feel at ease instantly, together we curated a list of dresses that I would try on when I came down to Melbourne. When I got to Melbourne a couple of months post the online meeting, walking into the boutique is an experience in itself, it's just divine! We were taken upstairs to try on a number of dresses some of which I had chosen and some of which Frankie thought it would be worth me giving a go as sometimes it's the dresses you don't think to try on that feel the best on. She was not wrong, there were a couple of dresses in there that I never would have tried on that made my decision very difficult to make! In the end we found the right dress for me. I opted for express tailoring as I didn't want to have to come down from Sydney several times for the fitting. This enabled me to have all my fittings & alterations across 2/3 days, the week before the wedding! After the second day the dresses were ready to take home. Hatice and the team there were incredible, they do gods work in there, the professionalism, kindness and care taken with the gowns and myself were wild. I was honestly sad to leave the girls, we had such a great couple of days talking, laughing and sewing me into my beautiful dresses. What a dream team!

How did your Fiancé react to your gown?

In true Marc style he turned around and said 'you look so brown' I instantly killed myself laughing and expected nothing less than this. We laugh a lot in our home. Post the initial looks he did say I looked beautiful and he loved the dress.

Did Marc know you had a Second Look planned?

He knew I had an outfit change (skirt and topper) that I was dying to get into so instead of doing the first dance in my ceremony dress I changed and put on the party outfit. He actually couldn't believe how heavy the skirt was and also loved this one, just like me, he thought it was fun!
