As a brand who has manufactured in Australia since it’s inception in 2006, we are incredibly proud that temporary closures worldwide will not affect your wedding dress being ordered or produced from our Melbourne studio. Manufacturing in Australia has enabled us as a brand to stay true to our Australian heritage and produce a product with quality that is second to none, whilst employing some of the hardest working and talented production staff at the helm. We often share with you the behind the scenes of our studio where your dresses are being produced by hand and we wanted to take this opportunity to share with you the wonderful team behind each and every incredible Anna Campbell dress that graces the aisles of weddings worldwide.
Cara | Design & Production Manager
My Favourite Design… Anna and I work on each design together from beginning to end, it’s impossible to not fall in love with them all. I am definitely drawn towards anything with sparkle, I love the silhouette and intricate details of the Tate side split, or the Meadow Topper paired with the Riley Skirt for a party outfit.
Rewarding Elements of My Position… The most rewarding part of my role would be seeing designs come to life. We work on a single collection for almost an entire year, striving for nothing but perfection. I consult my incredible team on best practice and together we come up with the best design and production processes. When we finally get to see a bride on her wedding day wearing a design we have worked hour upon hour on refining, it makes everything worth it! Seeing brides radiating and so in love with our designs is what this job is all about!
A Day in the Life Of… My role varies so much, on any given day I could be doing anything from working on design, CAD work, pattern making, draping and cutting fabrics through to deciding on fabrics for future collections. I’m also super lucky to manage the production team, so I oversee and mentor an incredible group of men and women helping them to achieve deadlines in machining, hand embellishing, quality control and alterations in our Brunswick East studio.

My Favourite Design… I love hand embellishing the Sorrento and Ruby. I also enjoy machining the Meadow and Bridget toppers.
My day at a glance… Everyday can be different, sometimes I am cutting dresses, working on patterns, machining toppers, through to hand embellishing. Everyday is different and keeps me on my toes.
My Time at Anna Campbell… I started interning at Anna Campbell in January 2013
The most rewarding part of my role at Anna Campbell…
Starting a dress from the very beginning, cutting it in house, watching it get machined, hand embellishing it and watching it get sent out - being a part of every step is very fulfilling.

My Favourite Designs… Alyssa and Sorrento. The Alyssa is my favourite, I’d wear it to my wedding!
Challenging elements… Sampling the new embellishments and working on designer experience dresses. They can be so time consuming, but I love the challenge!
My day at a glance… I will see what the workload is for the day and work by due dates, so that every bride gets their dresses on time.
My Time at Anna Campbell… This year will be 4 years as part of the Anna Campbell team!
What I love most… Finishing off a complicated style. I enjoy also getting to see photos of brides on their wedding day in dresses that I have created for them.

My Favourite Design… I enjoy sewing all Anna Campbell styles, especially when I’m getting to make something new to production. Every day is different!
Challenging elements… Learning to work with new designs and in an ever evolving environment.
My day at a glance… I sew together the bases of all dresses ordered, working closely with the other machinists to complete each dress. I like learning new things and really enjoy working on wedding dresses.
Truc - Mai | Machinist
My Favourite Design… Amelie and Jamie. I don’t have to sew a zip into the Amelie!
Challenging elements…Some of the dresses are more complicated and take more time so sew.
My day at a glance…I get my morning coffee and prepare my workstation. Depending on the work load I might sew a complete dress or sew all the tops of a similar style. I like to change it up to keep the day interesting.
My time at Anna Campbell… I have worked with the brand for 8 years!
Most fulfilling part of my role… I like all the people I work with, especially now I get to work with my daughter!
Gina | Alterations Manager
My Favourite Design… My favourite design is the Avery Empress in Blush, this is my favourite design because it’s such a unique style with the details of the mesh over the shoulder and the fitted bodice, once this gown has been fitted correctly and tailored to the body it creates such a feminine silhouette and is so romantic in it’s look while also having a fuller skirt which makes it look so whimsical.
My day at a glimpse… My day starts off with alterations appointments with our lovely brides, once they arrive at Anna Campbell we get them in their beautiful gown that they chose over 20 weeks ago, from this point we discuss how they want to look on their special day and I start by tailoring their gown to them perfectly, after this appointment I take their gown to our amazing machinist’s who works in our studio and discuss the alterations involved to give this bride the perfect fit!
Sometimes this requires me to do some hand embellishing to make the whole gown come together perfectly, or anything to make it look perfect.
From then once all the alterations are finished and I’m happy with the quality of the gown our lovely brides come back to try on their completed wedding dress and take it away for their wedding in less than two weeks!

My day at a glance… Day to day I make and alter dresses to give the most flattering fit for the customer
The most fulfilling part … What I find most fulfilling about my job is when I see the customer is happy and looking fantastic because the dress I’ve worked on fits them perfectly.

My Favourite Design… I love the Tate with the side split.
My day at a glance… I use my experience to make samples at Anna Campbell. It is my job to find the best way to construct the dresses perfectly, following the design and pattern. I always hope the bride is so beautiful and happy when she wears the dress I’ve made her.
My time at Anna Campbell… I have worked with Anna Campbell for one year.
Alex | Quality Control & Dispatch Manager
My role at Anna Campbell… I am the Quality Control and Dispatch Manager for Anna Campbell. It is my job to make sure every dress is perfect before sending them out all over the world! Good thing I have great attention to detail!
How my role impacts Brides Worldwide… We sell to brides all over the world, and I make sure their dresses get to them on time! I work closely with DHL and Australia Post, to ensure all shipments clear customs and are delivered as soon as possible.
With over 75% of the worlds wedding dress brands being affected by the trade restrictions put in place throughout China during Covid-19, we are one of the few fortunate brands with the ability to reassure you at this time that your delivery date will not be affected. Having an abundance of our beautiful bridal fabric in stock for our 2020 brides, we are overjoyed to continue producing orders and be assisting our brides via our online boutique.
