18 Years of Anna Campbell: Lessons, Love & Lace

This year marks 18 years since I first started Anna Campbell—a journey that has been as rewarding as it has been challenging. From designing in my family’s living room to dressing brides around the world, every step has taught me something invaluable. To celebrate, I want to share 18 lessons I’ve learned along the way.

  1. Passion is everything. If you love what you do, it will shine through in your work.

  2. Stay true to your vision. Trends come and go, but authenticity lasts.

  3. Brides inspire us. Every custom gown and unique request has shaped the way we design.

  4. Perfection is in the details. The tiniest embellishment or lace placement can transform a gown.

  5. Craftsmanship matters. Handmade gowns take time, but the artistry is what makes them special.

  6. Teamwork makes the dream work. A passionate team is the heartbeat of any brand.

  7. Sustainability is the future. Thoughtful production and responsible design are non-negotiable.

  8. Creativity needs space. Some of my best ideas have come from stepping away and finding inspiration elsewhere.

  9. Never stop learning. The bridal world evolves, and so should we.

  10. Quality over quantity. It’s always better to make fewer, more beautiful gowns.

  11. Listen to your brides. They tell us what they need—our job is to bring their vision to life.

  12. Challenges make you stronger. Every obstacle has shaped me as a designer and business owner.

  13. Love what you wear. A wedding gown should feel as good as it looks.

  14. Support other women. The bridal industry is full of incredible female entrepreneurs—we rise together.

  15. Intricate embellishments tell a story. Every hand-stitched bead, shimmering sequin, and delicate lace detail is crafted with purpose, bringing each gown to life.

  16. Trust your instincts. If something doesn’t feel right, it probably isn’t.

  17. Celebrate every milestone. Big or small, every achievement matters.

  18. The best is yet to come. After 18 years, I’m still dreaming, creating, and looking forward to the future.

To every bride, stockist, and supporter who has been part of this journey—thank you. Here’s to many more years of love, lace, and unforgettable moments. 💕
